Alvin obtained his Bachelor of Science in Management degree from Ateneo De Manila University and his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law. After graduating from law school, Alvin worked for several years in another prestigious law firm, specializing in criminal, civil, and administrative litigation for local and multi-national clients with businesses in banking, malls, insurance, realty, stockbrokerage, manufacturing, and publication. Thereafter, Alvin served as in-house counsel for 10 years in a publicly-listed company with businesses in leasing, realty, manufacturing and distribution, insurance, and land title management, thereby gaining extensive experience in commercial law practice, particularly in corporate housekeeping, compliance with PSE and SEC regulations, corporate restructuring, and due diligence work. Alvin likewise served as the primary property, labor and litigation lawyer for cases and matters handled in-house and provided general counseling on a variety of issues affecting the day-to- day operations of the company.
